Norm Mort, who is a writer of great articles in the Toronto Sun, and also an avid collector car enthusiast wrote an article in Sunday's paper regarding the book in my title here. Anyone have or heard of this book. He gives it fantastic reviews; five stars out of five. It is written by Graham Robson and distributed by MBI Publishing Co. He also gives an email address of www.motorbooks.com .
I think I would like to pick this one up, but they are impossible to find at one of the on line book stores, and there is only one on Ebay.. in the UK.

I haven't read that one in particular. But there are lots of books on the history of the marque, many of them quite good. Some of the old books cover the early years in great detail.

If you get this book let us know how you like it!

I've got one. Real thorough - dry reading - but thorough history.

Paul - Abebooks ( www.abebooks.com ) vendors have a few dozen for sale at the moment for about US$37 - $99. (Some of the vendors have more than 1 copy.)

You could also try DRB Transport Books right in Toronto (right by the 400/401 intersection), he is excellent to deal with! And it's good to deal with a business operated by a true enthusiast rather than a mega-company, at least IMHO /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Slightly off topic; but I really like Norm Mort's articles...about 80% of them have some mention of LBC's....where else can you get that in a huge weekly paper?

Re: Norm Mort

And last I heard he was restoring a Sunbeam Harrington coupe, not sure how well that's coming along... Norm is a true British car enthusiast (with the odd European car sneaking into his fleet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and is a good writer, he's also very friendly as a person to meet him...

I thought about dropping him an email some time.....just not sure what to say.

Thanks Jeff,

I checked Amazon.ca on Sunday when the paper came out and it showed unavailable. Looks like they got some in.
I just sold a Cylinder head from my TR7 to a guy in Texas. That will pay for the book for sure.
