A survey: Why do we mess with old British cars?

Just out of curiosity, I would like to tally the reasons why we waste time & money on these old quirky things.

Why dincha just create a poll?

X: because messing with new ones is way more expensive
B: because they don't run if you don't
L: because I don't have a local shop who will mess with them for me and I'm too proud/cheap/curious/masochistic to take it to one if I did
Y: because they're cool
U: because for one reason or another all the new stuff sucks
F: for FUN

The overall reason is Fun which breaks down into

Driving
Mechanical hobby
Nostalgia

Right up there with fun is the social aspect. I enjoy communicating with other lbc ers, whether online, locally or through club activities.
