Not to step on Joe's BJ8, but came across this BT7 today on eBay and for all those people who have been looking for an inexpensive Big Healey, it appears this fellow is trying to sell it outright for a very fair price for a restored 62 BT7.

While it's not clear why he has to sell, my guess is it has something to do with taking Joe's covergirl out for dinner (apologies to non-retrosexuals).
 
It's still there. I think the link I included isn't working right. For some reason, when you click the link, it stops at the comma and doesn't include the full link. Why? Beats me.
 
I don't see a $16k buy it now, though the seller says he wants that much for it.

The car doesn't seem to have a reserve either- when a bid is less than the reserve it generally says so. It seems that someone could get it for less than the $16k.

I note that the seller has 0 feedback and suspect they've never done this before and don't know how to use the reserve or buy it now facilities on e-bay. Might be an expensive lesson.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
 
Correct on all counts. The 16k price is only in his comments, and as you point out there is no reason for someone to go that high IF the bidding does not reach that level. Based on what big Healeys seem to be selling for, I would expect someone to get him to end the auction early for the 16k price. Will be interesting to follow.
 
I'm surprised someone didn't take the 16 already. I figured it wouldn't be there this long.
 
Look closely. That car has TWO listings on ebay. The car is apparently located in Houston, Texas AND Holland, Michigan. Seems fishy.
 
Like I said before, "perhaps too good of a deal". Different VIN #s on the two listings, but the same exact mileage, same pics, but located 2000 miles apart. Yeah, sure. Someone else can bid on these. Maybe one is ligit, but not both.
 
Still Very Strange- the supposedly legal owner claims eBay pulled the listing, but it is still there a/o 12:25edst. With the same pics, etc. you have to wonder where the security breach is that let the "phony" lister get it on,
