started on Luigi tonite - not much but Lost was on so it was time to escape to the garage. Put a good tire on in place of the flat one - did you know Multiplas don't have wheel nuts and studs, they have bolts - weird. Anyway, set to cleaning out the interior - seats are already removed. lots of dust & dirt and the carpet underpad stuff glued down though it came off real easy with a putty knife. Found a ton of screws, bolts, washers, even an extra shift knob in the debris. Took out the last of the rubber matting which involved taking out the choke & parking brake - bolts come easy so far. I'm actually surprised by the (relatively) little amount of rust. That is to say that there is a lot of rust but the floors are much more solid than a 50 year old Fiat that has spent its life in Ontario should be.

Anyway, she rolls very easily now - as light as the Midget. Onward and upward!

Not the only car with bolts, I know I have changed tires on at least one car with bolts, just cant remember what, either French or Italian.
I like the old Multiplas, cool in a weird sort of way. MUCH better than the new ugly Multiplas.

Yeah......and those stupid adjusters for the brake shoes will drive you crazy.
Start soaking them NOW!

Another tip.....the radiator has a scoop that hanges down underneath (at least, I am guessing a Multipla is same as a stock 600).
ANY crXp like weeds or hay or mice.....will get clogged up in front of the radiator and that SOB will melt the freaking cylinder head.

Pull the radiator and get the fins cleaned out.

Mine was...a 61?

Canvas roof section, suicide doors.
We took the door check straps off, opened the doors all the way, put a bungee acrodd the back to hold them fully open, and rolled the top back.
Made one helluva beach buggy.

Hated that car.

But, like a Limey Limo, they were great when they ran.

Not the only car with bolts,

Most German cars have bolts.
Yup VW, BMW, Mercedes.... Kind of a pain in the butt sometimes, trying to align everything and hold it all in place while you start the bolts....I like studs.
