I just witnessed Glen Cambel's last tour on CNN. He has late stage Alzheimers disease.

It was quite sad. OTOH: it was very enlightening too.
 
That is what took my dad 5 years ago on Father's Day.
 
Terrific guitarist (in his start).
 
Over 3 years with my dad and it seems the ones who suffers are the family and close friends. Only consolation, my dad died peacefully in his sleep. You hurt for them, as you know there's not a thing you can do to stop it and bring them back to normal. Sad, very sad. I think of him and miss him every day, we were very close. PJ
