What is the max flywheel HP that can be put through a standard A series Rib Case?

Thanks

GB, I wouldn't want to pump more than about 150 through it, and even then, I don't think it would stand up for too long. Of course, this is only an opinion.

What is the weakest link in the A series box?

The B series (MGA/MGB) gearbox is good for 200hp. (Maybe more)
There are some things that wear out before others but, don't really break. (Lay-shaft, 2nd gear syncro [early brass], tail-shaft bushing [early 1500] & input shaft bearing)

Thanks, Guys I took the lay shaft out and she was a beauty, so I replaced it w/o bearings and going in further.

I am looking at 90-95 at the flywheel and have heard that she wasn't good enough for over 100, so I wanted to check some experienced masters.

Thanks!

If you take it easy on the down shifts a stock ribcase can last a while. Once ya see bout 100 hp to the rear axle things will not work out so well with the stock gears.
