A sad thing

A good friend has been diagnosed with ALS. Sadly, at the zenith of his career. To protect his privacy, enough said.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Just be his friend. It won't be easy but that's what a friend does. I know I didn't need to say that but I think I needed to say it for myself. My best friend has COPD and she can't even come to visit me because of the altitude. She's coping but I am so darn angry that she didn't quit the smoking habit when I did. I used to say I wouldn't go out to dinner with her and her oxygen tank dragging behind (that was before her diagnosis) but now I know I would. I just want to keep her in my life as long as I can. She's my friend not matter how difficult it is for me.
