A real pony tale

About a quarter mile from my house is a hiking trail with a small farm that has a little pony roaming the property. Whenever my grandkids visit from Boston they love driving by to see if they spot the pony....... More on this later.
Yesterday I was driving by the small farm and as I went by I "thought" I saw a green TR6. "No way" I thought so I turned around and headed back and pulled into the driveway. Sure enough there was a guy tinkering with his newly bought TR6. I introduced myself and told him that I also have a TR6. We exchanged contact info and I left. Tonight I got a frantic call from my "new friend" and he asked "how do I stop a fuel leak?". I told him "I'm coming over now".
He had nicked the 5/16" rubber fuel line coming from the fuel filter. I clamped off the fuel line and re-installed a new section of fuel line that I had brought with me. Fifteen minutes later it was all fixed and No Leak!
Back to the pony... I told my new friend that my grandkids ALWAYS look to see if the pony is out. He said "the next time they are here please bring them over!.
There you have it, a real Pony Tale.

I bet you're horse from the excitement - seriously, lovely being a good neighbour and meeting a good neighbour.

Just a little horse  You are right, it was nice meeting a new neighbor. I told him about the BCF and hope he joins but right now he is focused on getting his car on the road.

Tell him if he doesn't join we shall visit him in the small hours and put a bat up his nightdress. :ninja:
I'm sure he'll pony up when the time is right.

Well done, Elliot. The compunction to aid is well understood! Particularly when there's an LBC involved.

And a PONY! (y)

I was afraid that if I didn’t help there might be one less LBC on the road.

A nice "feel good" story. Thanks for posting. Made my morning.
