Dear fellow BCFers,
I have had an incredibily bad day at work and if I don't let it out somewhere, I'm going to explode. So please forgive me and bear with me as I vent a little.....

It's wide because of that endless "groan" - the string of letters in the first post. BCF has to display as much as possible on a single line.

No "carriage return".

Or whatever a carriage return is called nowadays :smile:

Again I am sorry about the page. It was a REALLY bad day.
One more thing, I know it was meant as humor, but please do
not use that "going postal" line anymore. I know it is funny
until you realize where it came from. I'm not getting on to anyone and I appreciate the humor, but for me, it's not funny.

I never understood why some bosses act like that. My employees
saved my butt many, many times because I listened to their suggestions.

After all, they each know their jobs and professions better than I did so I appreciated their help and always requested it. Of course, I was honored to have a great team of hard workers who didn't hesitate to let me when I was wrong. Thank goodness.
 
Don: my 40 years of experience in these matters shows that you belong to a small minority. Bravo to you!!!
Some of the new MBA types in my company would devour a baby alive on public TV, just to get an advancement. It's really disgusting! :pukeface:
 
Frank - I remember my dad telling us that the "new" MBA's the company was hiring (Sinclair Refining) were great with numbers, charts, and jargon. But had very little in the way of people skills. Ground up the staff and spit 'em out faster than a rocket.

Dad was personnel manager for the Sinclair southwestern district. He always tried to hire new guys who could keep their staff and their customers - not just increase the profits.
