A Quick Trip Around Oulton Park....

Cool! I do that everyday on the way to work. 🙄 (I’m retired😁). It’s always fun to watch those videos.

If you like watching those vids, Vette, put in ' Jack Rawles on YouTube' or Richard Woolmer

Spent many a day at Oulton park when I was a lot younger , we used to ride there on our bicycles (15 miles each way) to watch motorcycle racing (transatlantic trophy) vintage car weekends , saloon cars , formula Ford etc etc . I even did a sponsored bicycle ride for scouts I think round the track at so much $$ a lap .
My claim to fame is being almost run down by Graham Hill in the pits ( I was about 8/9 and you could actually get into the pits back then during practice etc ) it was 1970 at the Gold Cup I was there with my eldest brother and my Dad .
A Marshall grabbed my collar to stop me running across pit lane to see the cars coming down the main straight and Graham Hill was leaving pit lane in his Brook Bond oxo sponsored Lotus . True story …..ah the trip down memory lane .
