A pair of Brits

I was at a rather small car show on the weekend here in hinterland (AKA Alberta), among the 25 cars were a couple of nice Brits

A Jaguar D Type replica, one of the examples that are factory built to a high standard... Admittedly it's a car I've seen before a number of times, and the owner is active at shows with it... But I do think I got the best photos I've taken of it

And a Lotus Europa Special, something not terribly common around these parts..

And there were some other crappy American cars there as well

great pics and unususal cars and, yes, judging by the backgrounds in the pics it was a very smaller show. :jester:

I wouldn't call them crappy.

While driving in Salem,VA, I came across these two cars - a pull-handle MGB,
and a Sprite.

:p More a reference to the British cars of course... American classics do have a place in the world somewhere... :sneaky:

Interesting. Do you know who the outfit was that built the D-Jag by chance?

There have been a number of D Type fabricators of differing quality.
One fiberglass model has painted on rivets(I think it was Protius).
Another is so authentic it's scary.
One owner of a shop near me had a true replica.
I dropped as many hints for a ride as I could but never bit.

The Oamaru, New Zealand ones are as close as I've seen, but with some upgraded safety systems.
