A number of Starter Cable Questions

Gentlemen:

Today, while driving my BE, I went over a number of speed bumps that caused my starter cable to touch the battery cable, short, and start a fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the car is fine, but the starter cable got fried. Here are my questions:

- Are the pull starter cables from Moss/VB as good as the OE ones?
- If not, does someone have an spare OE cable for sale?
- If not, I saw one go on Ebay recently, being sold by a guy in KC. I had it on my watch list, but deleted it. It did not sell. Does anyone know the email of that seller?

Thanks,
Mike Pennell

You will be happy with the Moss cable.

Sure, Ray. Thanks for looking.

I'll be out of pocket most of this week. But let me know what you find. If you don't have one I'll just pick one up at Moss in VA (that's where I'll be).

Mike
