There was another great VW ad that has stuck with me. It was about the idea that Volkswagens are built so tight that they can actually float. It finished off with something like "But even if Volkswagens could definitely float, they could not float indefinitely so its best to go around large puddles, especially if they are big enough to have a name." I thought that was really clever.

Thanks for sharing! VW had the best "overall" ad department for many years... from the great Beetle ads to the GTI-era 1980's.

My favorite: a crumpled map, a GTI, and a caption "Get Lost".
