A Newbie at My Age, Who'd of Thought It

Decided to have a mid-life crisis, so I have just bought a car from my past. In all honesty, I wanted another TR5 as I had one in England way back when, but they are as rare as rocking horse $#!^ in the US where I now live. A close second was my first TR, which was a 1962 TR4. As "luck" would have it, I am shortly taking delivery of a "new" 62 which has resided in a barn since 1978. This appears to be a very solid car (comments from the group of "how many times have we heard that before"). The advantage this time is that it won't be my daily driver, so I can choose if I want to be working on it at 3AM, instead of having to for work transportation.

Other LBCs as you call them (the TRs looked bigger in the UK) I previously owned, include a very early MGB and 2 Lotus Elans (S2 and S4 Sprint).

I know that I shall be picking your brains, but I hope that I can contribute something as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Depends on what you call "mid-life"! I'm 60 & just now reaching "middle age"!

Welcome to the mad house!

Welcome!...lots of "seniors" and "grown up children" here.
