A new Project, Morris 8 1936

The carb looks like downdraft Zenith as fitted to Ford 8s and 10s. Memory tells me it should have an SU carb, similar to those on an early Sprite.
Tuning the Zenith is performed by changing jets, I think yours will have a cast- in venturi, though some did have removable.
I'd try Burlen Fuel systems in UK for differing size jets. They are very helpful.

Roger,
Just this week I found pictures of the carb using google search. It is a replacement for a willys jeep circa 1941. Solex brand. Originally the car would have had installed a 7/8 inch SU. I don't have the original carb so I will leave this on for a while. I am still waiting for the Title for the car, so until then it can't go on the road anyway. It does go around my driveway well!

Jerry, that makes sense too. Those Zeniths and Solex are very similar, in fact at the time yours was made they were the same company.

The car is now loaded in a trailer to attend its first car show. It is not much of a looker compared to other cars there but we will have fun anyway. If you are in Northern CA, the show is Sunday May 15th at the Dixon Fairgrounds.
