I'm a late fifties-something LBC enthusiast. My first car I purchased with paper route savings back in the seventies was a '64 round-tail Spitfire. As a result of owning that Triumph (or should I say suffering through the tribulations of Lucas electrics), I learned how to work on cars. Somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with little British cars.

My current project car in the garage is a '59 Bugeye Sprite. It might be offensive to some member of this forum, but I've installed a turbocharged and intercooled Mazda rotary engine, tube frame, front and rear independent suspension, and four-wheel disk brakes. It's getting close to being road- and race-worthy again after being off the pavement for nearly five years.

And fwiw, I'm also in the market for a stock-ish "normal" Bugeye Sprite to complement the aforementioned rotary-powered one in the garage.

Thanks for letting me join the forum.

Hello Tom

Welcome to the forum.

We all have different goals with our cars. Some want every nut and bolt to be as it left the factory and others do some changes. It is your car so have a great time enjoying it. Good luck with your search for your Stock-ish Sprite.

Post some photos of your 59 Sprite.

Wow - you are a mechanic and body expert rolled in one. Bravo.

Do I see a Studebaker Wagonaire in that first photo?

Thanks.

Yeah, I know my way around a toolbox, but I also have some pretty talented friends, too, that have helped.
It's also taken literally a decade to get to this point--and it's still not back on the road. Yet.
