A new forum??

Colin,

It's also nice to see a fellow Ham here. Judging from your call, I think that we both went through when you actually had to do the 20 wpm code and understand the theory.

73,

that picture that YankeeTR posted is terrific. It proves I'm not the only one that eats with his fingers.

I still think its a good idea....but then I go to rod shows too. Nothing quite like the guy that gets the award for best paint,going up to get his trophy and smiling with no teeth.

I'm in!

The TR4 will look exactly the same as it does now when it goes back on the road ...

That is a great looking TR4 Matt...more a warrior then a clunker. It appears to be perfectly seamed and surrey topped.

I'd like to see a clunker forum.

I agree with the idea, actually since in the UK such a car is referred to as a "Shed", the forum could be named as such.

Definitely, for a while now my car has been referred to as The Shed, not much to look at but certainly does drive well

Hi There Brosky;

Hey, I just learned something today /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thankyousign.gif

I always wondered how the heck to put the cents sign behind a number!

Relative to a "New Forum Class"; I surely am in! I love to tinker and especially detail stuff:

Have a Sunny Day;

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

PS: I just tried the cents thing & all I get is a "pong" type of sound? No symbol or anything? What am I doing wrong? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Russ, if it won't work when you are holding the Alt key down at the same time, it may be your browser. I use Mozilla and I believe that it works with Opera, but I haven't tried it with M/$ Internet Explorer.

The character won't appear until you let up on the Alt key after typing the 0162.

Or you can go to this web page and simply copy the character you want. Another trick is to make a file using notepad with the characters you want. Save it to the desktop for quick reference, and copy and paste as needed.

We could call it "driveable dreams." This is the title of the monthly article in Hemmings Sport and Exotics. I don't see why it should only be Triumphs? Perhaps we should pose the question to the whole forum.

Or just call it "Clunkers Corner"

I think a "beater" forum would be great. I do have a restored car, and it rarely sees daylight. I do however drive my Riley every day. I think it should be open to all (british) makes, since the only Triumph I currently own is this Herald (which needs a new home). I do have the Riley and there are several other british cars in the family.
