This afternoon I loaded my car onto my new trailer and gave it a quick run down and back on a local interstate. I've never put it on a trailer before. The carb repair work was just completed last night so I couldn't do this earlier. The trailering test was passed OK and now I'm looking forward to heading to Ludington tomorrow morning. A fun week and a lot of great people coming up. A couple of photos were added to the end of my webshots page.

Great documentation of your restoration, Nelson, and greatlooking car!!

Kurt.

Car looks great, but I what model trailer did you get? I'm looking for something just like that to pull my 59 BE TO away from the interstate places to drive.

My trailer was made by a company called Aluma. It has a 14 foot flat bed and weighs only 525 pounds. We had electric brakes added at a local trailer dealer since it did not come with brakes. I bought the trailer at another dealer. Aluma has dealers all over the country. I just looked at their web site and found that there is a dealer less than 40 miles from Dallas. There were no problems with the trip to and from Elkhart Lake. The trip was very comfortable riding in my air conditioned Odyssey. I also had to buy a pair of aluminum ramps as the tailgate ramp is too steep for my exhaust system to clear. I bought them from an online dealer.
