A movie I would pay to see.

DrEntropy

Great Pumpkin

But, Angelina Jolie?

I wouldn't walk to the end of the driveway to see her, nevermind pay for it.

On the other hand, maybe someone will do a pre-release on the 'net

It's the story I'm interested in. Could give two flips who the actors are as long as they play the parts well and faithfully... and the estate still has a LOT of say in THAT bit. But Julia Roberts would be a better choice for "Slug" IMO.

I agree, except I can't stomach Jolie. Julia Roberts? In the immortal words of Dale Gribble, "a horse is a horse, of course of course"

I wonder if Jody Foster is busy...

Speaking of movies, I'm sitting here watching one of my favorites on my new MacBook - Miracle with Kurt Russell.

Glenn Close would do better than Jolie...

You would probably also enjoy watching Mark Johnson continuing his legacy as he coached, as head coach, the Wisconsin's Woman's Hockey to there third NCAA championship in the last 4 years. And he is going to take a year off to coach the USA Team. He is an amazing guy.

How about Hillary Swank?

Why the picture of Barney Frank on the webpage though? Who would he play - not Taggart I'm guessing.

Wonders about title - A movie I would pay to see. Doc, does this mean you don't pay to see movies? Was that YOU I heard banging in the trunk of the car next to us at the Drive-In??!

And since it is topic related - who still has Drive-Ins where they live? I think there MAY be one, possibly two here in the Chicago-land area. Nearly all have disappeared I think......

Nope. Wouldn't cross th' street to enter a theater if it WAS free in most cases now. Subsidizing that viper pit ("Hollywood") ain't my cuppa.

If it IS something I'm interested in viewing, it'll come around soon enuff on a DVD by way of someone else's dollar.

Peter:

At London Ontario, there is a Drive-In called the Mustang.
It was there in 1966 when I first got a license, and it still operates.
They even show winter time movies, complete with in car heaters!

Doc;

I agree with you. My kids bring me copies of all the current movies, as I'm "TOO CHEAP' to pay $10-$12 a throw at the local popcorn stand!

Dave
