a motorsport where a few extra pounds might help

They look like minature Lotus 7's! Bicyccle front wheels, rear brake only - wonder what type engine?

Not much to that site other than a photo of the motorcycle engine in the little car...

I have wished they had these types of events in the US for years. They look like great fun.

And many folks "dress up" in period garments when they participate in trials.

Some of the early cars were built from Austin 7 parts while others used older English Ford components (such as Dellows). MGs, Rileys and other lightweight cars are popular too. Many of the cars are under 750cc. The homebrew special have real appeal to me.

Wow! cool. looks to ba a fairly low-budget form of racing. Like a modern version of what the Bently guys do. I got the perfect spot to run somthing like that. hehehehehe.
No helmets! those guys are nuts.

But something seems askew. Like a cross between an
old race car and half an all-wheel drive with just
a hint of load-pulling tractor in the mix.

It seems that riding shotgun kinda sucks, but the drivers
look like they're really digging it (sorry bout the pun
again).
