Agreed...Izzy made some beautiful music. He died way too young. At least we have what he did record.

My daughter gave out CDs as favors at her wedding with her favorite songs on it, and one of the cuts was this one.

I also had a co-worker that I was close to die in an motorcycle accident. He was in his early thirties and married to the bosses daughter. At the funeral as everyone was coming in, she had this song playing.

So every time I hear this I have sad and but also happy feelings remembering both times in my life.

Thanks Basil, I needed to hear this again.

Edit: When Izzy died, the Hawaii State Flag was flown at half staff. He was the first non-politician given this honor in Hawaii.

I love it when someone takes a known song, rerecords it in their own style and makes it a whole new song. That song sends chill bumps up my spine.
