I last posted about my slot car layout at the end of 2017, but I have been making progress on details over the last two months. Some of the most recent changes are now posted on my website at https://www.reesed.com/NewBrooklands/NewBrooklands.html including some of the in progress stages. Just scroll down a bit if you looked at it before.

And I am still having lots of fun too. I may not have been any good at working on my Triumph, but experimenting on techniques and products with these toys has been much less frustrating for me.
 
Dave - that is *fantastic*! Wow - so many intricate details. Are you eventually going to have real running water in the water courses?

When you're done, you should sell tickets to let people see it.

Come to think of it, maybe I'll drive the MG out from Connecticut and you can give me a personal demo. (And of course, some bread pudding might be a good snack.)

Thanks Tom. The resin water is all that will ever be on the layout...I do not feel the need to mix electric motors and water on the platform.

Just let me know when you are heading to the Lehigh Valley. It would be great to see you again.
 
Wow Dave, that is a really impressive track you have built. You have good taste in movies, by the way, The World's Fastest Indian was one of mine and my dad's favorite movies.
 
Love the little things... like the climber/worker on the rope.
 
Looks amazing! I like the last picture description "From the other end of the room." More aptly "at the other end of the room." :grin:
 
Just read you're in Macungie, Dave. I was familiar with Macungie, Perkiomen, Pottstown and the surrounding area in the mid 70's. Fond recollections.

We moved here from Allentown about 2 years ago Doc. We are in a 55+ community, and like the ability to walk to a lot of the stores now. If you ever come back to the area, stop in.

Dave - I had no idea there was a requirement for 55+ communities to have some owners under 55. Wow. What happens if a resident then brings his/her teens to live with them for half the year, for example?
