A little time spent at the buffing wheel

I spent a little time at the buffing wheel tonight. Here's some of the results. This is just a half hour on an SU.

Anybody know what's the best treatment for the steering wheel ring? What is that material by the way??

Is an early form of plastic. Epoxy and plastic bonding paint. like epoxy paint.
 
That looks nice Jack, the only thing I've heard is to be careful when buffing the carb parts as they can deform and of course that leads to trouble.
