A little intro

Working on my two MGs is fun but my favorite lbc activity is driving these marvelous cars. Five or ten thousand mile road trips are the highlight of my summer. I live an hour from the Blue Ridge Parkway and five hours from the coast so shorter trips are also organized frequently.

I've been a New & Gauley River paying customer for 30 years and have paddled many other rivers. I wonder if our paths have crossed prior to meeting through our mutual fondness for these lbcs.

Another water based hobby of mine is scuba, I find it to be very peaceful experiencing weightlessness in the underwater world.

Just last week on another thread , on another website, I discovered a convergence of lives paths with another member while we were Boy scouts many years ago. We had both hiked in Philmont, and canoed from the Charles L Summers Wilderness Canoe base back in the 1960's.

Throw in some water and snow skiing, a little motorcycle riding and some work in the garden and I can honestly say I'm not just a boring car nut.

I read and enjoy documentaries about history, religions, science and geography.

Since retirement, travel has become a much larger portion of time allotment.

OK, that's enough about me, Keep it going I enjoy learning more about you guys.

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you and enjoyed hearing about your other hobbies. By the way, if you click on "Community" in th eupper menu, then "Groups" you can start a group for other who may share similar non-LBC interests (e.g., hiking, canoeing, etc.)

Great to see you over here - think you'll like it!
