A good start!

I have had the entire tub soda blasted and now I am getting rid of the rust/holes.

Played with my new plasma cutter and used spot weld cutters. I found that the spot weld cutters are about useless (at least the ones I got from Eastwood) so I went to plan "B", drilling the welds out. After breaking three drill bits, I went to plan "C" which was grind over the spot welds and using a BFH and a cold chisel, I busted out some of the attached metal.

That is until I squarely hit my left thumb for the third time and called it quits for now. (Resting with an ice pack on the thumb!)

This is as far as I got today...

Air chisels are cheap.

Looks like you've made excellent progress.

I find that with spot weld cutters, at least the ones from Harbor Freight, work best if you predrill the center of the spot weld so that the centering pin is stable and doesn't wander around when the cutter starts to cut metal. Also make sure the cut metal doesn't remain in the saw blade.

Looks like a great start, how much did the soda blasting run you? I built my own pressurized soda blaster out of a 100 gallon propane tank. Was curious if it might be cheaper to have it done vs. doing it my self.
Great job, looks like what I will be doing to my 74 midget

WAY too much. Time and materials (soda - 10 bags @ $30 each and 8 hours of time @ $100/hr.) The only other person who does it (i.e. will come to you) wasn't available until late summer.

I had it done at my house in front of my detached garage/shop. Good thing the neighbors were gone that day! What a mess. And 10 bags of Soda are HEAVY to sweep up and dispose of! Killed the grass around the concrete pad in front of the garage/shop.

Yes and I have one... somewhere... I hate it when I clean up and organize everything. Can't find crap afterwards!

After hitting my thumb the third time, I decided I had had all the fun on this hobby I could stand for that session and would look for the air chisel another time.
