Well I have to say I had such a blast last night with my neighbour!
This is a younger fellow with a real nice family and is always the first one in our neighborhood to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was the one to help confirm my bad clutch master and helped me bleed off after the repair. This is not the first time that he has come to my aid. The aid does sometimes come with a slightly jaundiced view of the design and construction of the 4A vs "american iron".
I finally convinced him to come for a ride last weekend after taking his two kids for separate spins along with air horn toots! They forced hin into it with "Daddy!! Please take a ride!" Well, his ride seemed to impress him judging by the silence afterwards and yes I did let her "loose" in the curves.
Last night he was outside when I came home from a run and he very shyly asked "Could go for another ride?" I said "Sure, but your driving this time ! " "Do you know how long it's been since I drove a clutch? YA, YA, YA quit your whining"
as we pulled in one hour later with a sh177 eating grin he said "Tom, letting me drive this car was dangerous, I want... NO, I need one ... Whenever I see you driving away you sorta just drive her out quietly. I had absolutely no idea what fun, stickiness and surprising power this baby has. You are very lucky to have it! Can we go out again (soon)?"
