Carb in place! Pardon the grotty trumpets... an ElCheapo foam type air cleaner will keep th' big lumps from the innards.

Now I just gotta clean and repaint the heater box and bits. YAY!

Lookin Good!

Looks great Doc. I've got another one you can work on once you finish with that one.

Nice, Doc....

I think I'll have some interesting rear end photos for yuo in a day or so....my hybrid rear end is ready for me to test fit & assemble to check wheel clearance.

WOW, Doc! Relooked that photo - how close are those trumpets to the inner fender?

I was thinking the same thing earlier... Looks like they could almost be inside the fender. That's a looooong setup - good for torque.

Not that close, actually. I'll get it from a different angle.

Doc,
That puts my engine compartment to shame. Looks great.

Figured if'n we had *any* chance of gettin to Gatlinburg I didn't want to have folk lookin' in John's engine bay, swooning then gettin' to mine, *gagging* and hurlin' into it...

Doc,

I have to finish the Bowie knife I am making. I get to sit around a fire and sip coffee out of a tin cup tomorrow ao got to look the part. I am going to fix the carb plates when I get a little more time. The heater core is out of the shop -- no holes in it so the leak had to be the hose or clamps. Either way I will fix those when I get the proper foam and tubes.

I've considered fabin' up an aluminum plate to cover the heater box "pit" but the defrosters come in handy more than a few times a year, even down here. So I guess it's: "clean th' durned thing" and just get ON with it. Also left on the 'list' is to wrinkle paint a valve cover. Already stripped and Vari-Primed, just waiting for a good "outdoor oven" day of Florida Sunshine.

Doc - I've got a magnetic piece I put over my fresh air vent - black with MG logo...stays on a 70mph (I know that for a fact)
