A Donkey in Pajamas?

How many of you thought of this on seeing this thread?

I guess when they send the Donkey up to the big house those stripes will fit right in

I saw this as well. Have they settled the matter?

So THAT'S how it got its stripes!

Back in early 19th century Massachusetts, there was so much alcoholism that some towns banned the sale of liquor by the drink. Few men could afford an entire bottle or keg, so taverns needed a way to keep the liquor flowing.

Enter the Striped Pig.

Tavern keeper puts up a sign saying "Tickets 15 cents to see the Striped Pig". You pay the 15 cents, enter a tent, and see a pig covered in painted stripes.

And got a free glass of whiskey.

Yankee Ingenuity!

Hey, if you drink enough you’ll see the striped pig anyway.

Striped pig?!? Mundane...

Heck, I regularly have a polka-dotted aardvark visit me here! *snork*
