This car is for sale on E-Bay locally, and I know of the car as well (at a local Nissan dealership), the kind of car I'd purchase, if only I had the money let alone the gumption to restore it... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I didn't realize the Patrol went all the way back to Datsun. I've seen lots of Nissan versions from the 80's in South America.
 
Yup...

Back in the 1960's there were cars (and trucks) badged as either Datsun or Nissan, all from the same company of course.

Here in Canada they actually sold two models of "Nissan" in the 1960's, the Patrol 4x4 and Cedric sedan/wagon, alongside other "Datsun's" In the States they also sold the "Nissan" Patrol in the 1960's in small numbers, I'm pretty sure you never got the Cedric.

Speaking of interesting Japanese cars, somewhere in Calgary there is a 1960's Nissan Cedric station wagon, in rough shape awaiting restoration by the owner.
 
I've seen quite a few Patrols around this area in the
last 20 years.They seem to keep turning up.
The 411 Datsuns are rare,but not really worth much.And
the Crown was a large (& very boring) car.

Value isn't something I particularly care about, what I want (if I can ever afford one) is a 1960's British/European/Japanese sedan with about a 1.5/2.0 liter engine, a station wagon would be even better... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif It will be awhile yet though, due to various reasons...
