Has anyone done this? I want to investigate adding A/C to my TR4A with a Surrey Top / Hardtop. I can use all of the available parts for a TR6 in the interior. The problem is mounting the compressor. There is not a lot of space available at the right front ahead of the intake and above the Alternator. I'm thinking of driving it via the water pump using one of the dual belt pulleys from a TR6, maybe the whole pump if it will fit. No need to re-invent the wheel if someone has already done this. A search of the web turned up one hit from a site in the UK where the car was changed to a crank fire system, the alternator relocated to the left side of the engine and the compressor installed where the alternator was originally. I'd rather not go to all of that effort.
Thanks, yea I know you're asking why! Because I want to is my reason.
