A bit of flex

So a friend of mine was driving the Mini and I noticed that when he would drive by and shift my front bumper was moving a bit. I was wondering if it was possible that the subframe mounts are bad causing it to move a little more and make it flex my front valance and bumper. Anyone else seen this?

On the early cars the subframes bolted right to the body while later ones had rubber isolator pads between the body and subframe. If your car is a "later" Mini, the flex could be the result of perished subframe mounts.

I think thats it, just ordered all new subframe mounts.

Is the car in the link yours? I have never seen a Mini in camo before! Very unique.

I'm glad you got the ride sorted. Thanks for posting your findings here.

Yeah that's my Mini we did it for SEMA last year.
