Pretty amazing. I assume there was no budget on this one!

Yeah thats the way to go Mickey and he don't need pockets deep enough to stretch from his hip to his toes either.

What was once a young fellas hobby has been stolen by these wealthy old men. Ask me how I know.--Keoke

Am I the only one that thinks functional armament on a RC plane would be totally cool? Imagine scale dogfights between a P51 and ME 109 or shouting "Fox Three" as your miniature F-16 launches a scale AIM-120 AMRAAM. I'm a sick puppy.

Yep you all alone. This was a good day wait until he gets some RF interference N see which way the bullets go.

But it is absolutely amazing what the hobby is capable of now.

It's that with everyhthing? I will say this, if the guy is doing everything himself, they guy has talent, however; he's GOT to farm somma that out. It's just proof positive, with money all things are possible. What kills me is how many more-talented folks may be out there that just don't have the cash to compete....that's the thing.

Everything has become a competition of spending, not talent unless it's pure talent (as in singing).

These super jets are usually joint efforts because of the cost and complexity. There is a show / competition search Youtube for Jet World Masters. It has gotten to the point that to be a top contender you need working GAUGES / screens... About the only thing they don't currently have is afterburners and that is only because they have been banned by the modeling federation because of safety concerns. Not really a problem with the high level of thrust from the current mini jet engines.

Personally I like the super giant prop planes.. I just have no idea where people find the space to store a 1/5 scale B29??

Don't think you are so far off. With modern technology and creativity someone could build a very destructive model/drone aircraft in a home shop.

Thanks Basil, parenthood and a job relocation (a 90 mile commute each way) has had a severe impact on my Healey time over the last few years. At least the demands of one of those (parenting) has reduced recently so I can get back into the garage.

That is not so large most of our larger model planes are 1/4 Scale and up.
