A Big Day for the Restoration

Today was a big day for the BJ7's restoration, as the car was flat bedded back home from the paint shop. I am sure that many of you have felt the same as I do today, finally seeing the car painted and ready for final assembly is really a turning point. I'd like to take this as an opportunity to thank all of you BCF - Healey enthusiast members for all of the advice and information that you have given me. Without it, I could never have gotten this far.

I truly appreciate all of the help!

So which version of OEW did you go with? Cool Vanilla I am guessing but the slightly yellow tint or is that just the photos?

Thank you guys, the color is actually a little lighter than what the car looks like in the photos. To get it we used paint chips, and matched them to the way the car had previously been painted. So it isn't really a true Cool Vanilla, in fact I feel it is slightly lighter than that (however I have seen that color on many cars and I does look great).

Many of us know how you feel, finally seeing paint. All that hard work finally coming together. Congrats, well done.

Congrats! I still remember that day so well. The paint looks great and I join Rick in anticipating more photos as the car comes together.

I'm not quite there yet, but I can see it from here. Just have to take the fenders off a few more times....

Bill, that's a Big Step! Now that you've turned the corner, you'll be putting the parts on for keeps__now is no time to be in a hurry...

This was my First Look at BN6L-942 after being painted; it was shipped up to Ohio from Paul Tskuris' shop in Florida. My neighbors helped me get it limped into the garage, with half the brakes locked on it!

I had to put a come-a-long around the milling machine to drag the car up the incline, with the LH side wheels dragging!

Great pictures!!! I know there are a lot of BCF members that have had big milestones in their restorations. My wife is hammering me for spending so much time in the garage, but she is just going to have to get used to it! Thanks for all of the responses from everyone.

I have also reached a milestone, after an eight, yes eight, year restoration.
