A better mouse trap?

I've done a board up to a bucket of water with sunflower seeds covering the top of the water they step right in. Not so effective below freezing.

I am looking at the two I posted because they both seem capable of catching multiple mice in one setting.

At my backcountry cabin, I just use a half full 5 gallon bucket within jumping distance of a bench. They need water and will jump right in.
