Spitfire 90% complete 78 spitfire at recycler, good co

Folks, I have no connection to this car other than hearing that it was at the recycler. Took pictures this morning. Located at Priority Waste, Soddy Daisy, TN 423 634 0336. (About 10 miles NE of Chattanooga). Please contact them (not me) if interested. I'm doing this to keep it from being crushed.

It appears to be about 90% complete, although many of the engine pieces have been pulled and are in the car or boot. The rockers, sills, A & B posts appear to be rock solid. Not much rust but what was visible appeared to be relatively minor surface rust. NO evidence of collisions! Body appears to be in excellent (outstanding?) shape. If such a thing could be in Tennessee, it looks as good as what I would think a California car would look like, from the standpoint of minimal rust.

The recycler seems unsure what to ask for it. When asked my opinion, I indicated about 4-500 would be a fair price.

(I can't see how to post the pics on this forum)

Good luck!
