I'm putting a new headliner in my XJ6 & thought while I'm at it I'd replace the cloth weatherstripping around all 4 doors - Engels doesn't carry it - anybody got a source?

now you're talking expensive. "Draught or Draft Excluder" they call it. Goes by other names too.

Try BAS Jaguar Trim or BASSET'S Jaguar.

Also check World Upholstery.

I would refer you to OSJI in Indiana but they don't answer the phone, they don't reply to messages, their webpage is corrupted, so it looks like nobody is minding the store and my best advice is to look elsewhere.

DO you mean Fur-Flex or something like that? I have seen it advertised in the classic magazines.

Tony, whats wrong with the furflex in you car? Just needs freshening up, or what? If its just coming off you can push it back on. If its in good shape but faded, you can use colored markers to renew the color with good results. If damaged, then, yes, expensive, but is available in most of the normal Jaguar parts houses.

There's a gap in the driver door where the 2 ends come together...think its shrunk over the years.

if it's a matter of replacing a small piece here and there, or only 1 or two door openings, I still have all the original sections of my car. Originally, they were not done in one piece, but in 3 pieces, particularly the front door openings.

I have to say, that the replacement Furflex that I got, was not as nice as the factory version. What I got was more like a "terry-cloth" than a luxurious "velvet". Very dissapointing. In time I plan to replace that one too, by going to the John Skinner website. I want it in a Biscuit color.

Thanks....Let me look at my driver door material - I have it off right now so will need to reinstall.

I'll look there next - thanks.
