It is awesome to be lucky enough to have a lbc and have the nice weather to enjoy. I've got about 2,000 miles on the car since I installed the new motor this spring and I'm still trying to find a tank of gas where I don't really put my foot down on the pedal alot to see what kind of milage I'm getting. I guess it is really smiles per mile.
 
Yea, MPG really has no reason here.

Smiles per mile is the oprative phrase.

In all the years I've owned MG's, I've never spent any time figuring out my MPG...
 
I had a primrose MGB GT once that I drove all over the west.
On a trip from Seattle to LA I did a lot of drafting behind big rigs. I got 45+ mpg on that trip.

I drove it up the AL-CAN from Seattle through Fairbanks and back down to Anchorage. Didn't keep mileage, but that was one long trip - made Sea to LA seem like a very short trip.
