Who would imagine that from the very late 1800s to the present day, there were approximately 803 vehicles, including motor cycles, trucks and cars made in Great Britain alone with different names. The amount alphabetically were; A-72, B-68, C-69, D-32, E-29, F-15, G-39, H-47, I-9, J-21, K-11, L-46, M-56, N-27, O-11, P-35, Q-1, R-43, <span style="text-decoration: underline">S-73,</span> T-28, U-3, V-20, W-42, X-1, Y-2, Z-3.
As you can see, I didn't have anything to do today, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

Car - they're cheaper and theoretically you can finish one. I suggest you pick one from H or maybe M

:lol: I naturally assumed he wanted a runner - as opposed to the usual what the "L" is wrong with it this time. As for the B Booger - 's-not easy to get parts and they tend to drip even more than most LBC's

hmmm...I've had an "A" (Austin Healey 100/4), "D" {Daimler SP250), "J" (couple of Jaguars), lots of "M's", a couple of "T's" (TR6 & GT6)....lemme think, there might've been others throughout the years....so many cars!
 
Hmmm....I've had well over 28 "T" cars over the years, but all were the same marque (Triumph). I can say I've (however briefly) owned two different "S" cars (Standard, Sunbeam-Talbot) and almost owned one "F" (Fairthorpe Electron Minor, although that ownership -- sadly -- never came to pass)....
 
Oh, forgot about the Sunbeam Alpine I owned for a couple of years, so:

I've had an "A" (Austin Healey 100/4), "D" {Daimler SP250), "J" (couple of Jaguars), lots of "M's" (as in MG's), an "S" (Sunbeam Alpine), and a couple of "T's" (TR6 & GT6)....

Plus the occassional German or Italian marque!!
 
What is the "X" vehicle mentioned, anyone know?
 
There was an XL motorcycle built in England from 1921-23. Used JAP or Blackburne side-valve singles up to 538cc. I will fess up before I get caught, that this info is from Peter Henshaw's "The Encyclopedia of the Motorcycle" by Chartwell Books, Inc. Cheers All. Dale
 
I was told that Wolseley was the only British car 'driven in three centuries'... what other cars were built before 1900?
 
Rolls maybe? Seems to me they may have been creating the initial cars about the turn of century?

I thought that Rover did, but upon inspection, they were making bicycles and tricycles before 1900 and didn't start making cars until 1901.
