Wedge '80 TR7 Alternator Options

New to TR scene and jus picked up a clean '80. Wouldn't ya know already having problems. Drove it awhile today and it started having cranking issues. Jus a clock, click, click coming from what I would guess is the starter solenoid. Pushed her off and got her home. Finally jus no action at all. No clicking, nothing. I am a decent gearhead and I had noticed the IGN light was glowing when I brought it home. This normally indicates a no charge situation and a bad alternator. I took off the current alternator and seems it has been updated from what was prob an original Lucas to a Delco/Remy. Gonna try and track down a model # on it. It seems rather worn and aged so I will have it tested.

Was jus wondering if there are known Delco part #'s to seek out and any guides to make sure I get the wiring correct. Sure was a bummer getting excited about a new toy to have it dead within a few hours, grrr.

Many thanks in advance...
Nate
