79 midget 1500 Emission Removal

I have a 1979 Mg Midget 1500. I have the engine out because i am rebuilding it. Since i have it out and am upgrading some things. With the new headers and things there are no hook ups for the emissions control equipment. I just need some insight on all the things that i have to remove and plug up to take the complete system out while im in there. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
 
Welcome...Come on down to the Spridget forum and ask there. You might get more answers to your specific questions there. I can't really help, mine is pre-emission 1098, but there are a lot of 1500 owners here.

what "things?"

On the 79 1500, I originally installed a header and a weber setup on a Pierce manifold. At that point, all the pollution control stuff was gone- the header and the intake have no fittings for EGR, etc. At the time the state that I was living in only sniffs the pipe on 76 and newer (good thing- I don't understand why visuals are necessary, however we need to keep POS cars off the road- every vehicle should be tested regardless of age that cannot live up to environmental standards regardless of however one may think of their classic heritage), so I pulled the air pump- (made lots of room for the GM alternator).
