MGB 79 MGB runs, quits and time lag before re-starting

Re: 79 MGB runs, quits and time lag before re-star

Mike my 80 has the original distributor with the amplifier. I rembember the hubby fussing because he could not interchange them. Will it work?

He's still off fishing but I'm hoping he will buy a point type one and put it in /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, you should be able get it to work, but it has been many years since I but my Crane ignition system in and don't remember what was done to the wiring harness.

I notice you also have a '64. That would have a point system unless you changed it. You could try swapping that one.

could this possibly be a bad resistive wire? warming up and then going open, somewhere along its length.

just thinking
