Does anyone know why the starter motor will engage when the the hand brake is applied? This is a weird problem but thought someone might have had the same thing happen. I have disconnected the switch but would like to get it right, please help!
Also I have replaced the rear springs and bushings but it still sags badly, more on the passenger side. Cannot find any damage or body bending or rust or anything alowing the car to set so badly.
Finnaly I am looking for a working am/fm radio that will fit, would like original but any thing that will fit in the 6 inches to the firewall will do.
Thanks to anyone with help, Ed

Might get more responses if you repost it to the MG or Spridget forum.

eneth,

Welcome to the BCF, even though this is the Triumph world and none of us know what to tell you or it would have been posted by now.

I hope that you repost in the MG section because there are a lot of knowledgeable people over there.

Good luck,

But dont rule out the front suspension for making the car lean. A bad front sping, pan, bushings, frame can all cause this too.

That starter problem, Well thats one for the books. Sounds like a brake light wire crossed to an ignition wire. Ive seen wires melted together under midget dashes more than once so wouldnt be surprised.

I would say it is the same reason my lights dimmed when I hit the horn. Bad ground.
I would keep it disconnected until you chase down the problem. Easy way to fry a harness.
