Have been rebuilding these carbs (rebuild kits from V British), the kit did not contain the gaskets for the by pass valve gaskets for the small brass thing a ma jing.. The old gaskets are shot. TRF seems to have the same kit, what do I do?

wangdango, I would give VB a call and explain what your problem is. If they are no help, Moss sells the gaskets one by one, $6 bucks should get both, but they will stick it to you on the postage. Still not as bad as having to get new kits. Give me the number of the moss gasket and I will see if I have a couple.

The brass thing is the actual Throttle Bypass Valve. It should be attached to a rubber like flexible diaphram that surrounds the brass valve. It, along with the 2 needed gaskets, are sold seperately as the "Bypass Valve Diaphram" VB# 3-6310 and usually found at BPNorthwest, too
