As long as your area doesn't have required emissions tests or under-hood inspections, you can pull all the anti-polution bits off and the engine will run just fine ...maybe even better. No change required to needles.
I also believe '76 TR6s had an air pump (my '74 doesn't)... that and all its associated plumbing can come off without issue.
Vacuum advance/retard is there for both emissions and *street* driveability. IMHO its best to leave that alone unless you're doing other modifications.
Just a comment... if by doing this you're expecting some kind of improvement in power (and I've talked to many that think this way), think again. It would be nice if things were that simple, but to get even marginal increases in HP/torque you're looking at tweaking compression, valve timing/lift/duration, improved air flow, etc...
