When the car is started up, and fully warmed, if you give it gas the carbs both spit and pop. Eventually, it gets better and does not do this. The car had sat for many years and didnt run. Been adding carb cleaner and giving it gas it the hopes of it cleaning itself out. Would love NOT to have to rebuild these carbs. The car has very little miles on her. Any thoughts>?
thanks
Ed

This is just 2 centavos from a TR6 owner who lives
in a remote place with no TR mechanics, etc available.
I have learned many things about my heap by taking things
apart, cleaning them up real good, and ordering the repair
parts I need.

Maybe all yer carbs need is a good cleaning.
Have you checked the oil level and diaphram
for rips or tears? That's real easy stuff.
Drop the bowls and see if they're full of crud.
Again, easy stuff.

Just 2 cents from a novice TR6 owner.

Dale's approach is the best starting point. Provided that you've checked and or changed the fuel filter.
