TR6 '76 tr6 horn push

still working on the TR6, seems there is some pieces missing for the horn push. There is no long spring thing between the button and the housing, also no sort of "ring" where the horn push button would hit. What is supposed to be there? The VBritish catalog says there are two different length (the long cycl things between the push button and the housing...). Any help would be great..

I assume the TR6 would be the same as other Triumphs. There should be a slip ring on the top of the column behind the steering wheel hub. That should have a purple (or purple/black?) wire going off to the horn relay. It will be "hot". The hub goes next, attaching to the steering column. The spring loaded pencil goes through the hub, its bottom side rubbing on the slip ring, its top side pressing against the fixed metal tab on the horn push button. The wire clip on the side of the horn pushbutton will contact bare metal on the hub itself. The steering column is the ground path via a wire inside the steering column flex joint and a ground wire attached to the steering rack. When you press the horn pushbutton, you complete the ground path for the horn relay.
