It was explained to me a few weeks back on the forum that the purpose of the gas separation tank found just above the gas tank is to prevent liquid gas from making it's way to and ruining the carbon canister. This implies perhaps that liquid gas is collected in the separation tank and somehow returned to the gas tank. However the plumbing in that area will not allow gravity to perform that job since the hose from the gas tank is higher in elevation.
So how does this thing work and is there a specific vertical orientation one is supposed to use on the inlet and outlet pipes on the separation tank?
Thanks.
Ned
