Would like to do away with the stock pump, (it needs a rebuild, and as the car does not get much driving, tends to run the battery down). SO, want to make a plate to block off the hole and install a electric Facet pump. Any one done this? Ideas, on location, wiring, etc?

Install pump near and below tank. Electric pumps push fuel better than they pull. I am putting one one my GT6. Making block off plate out of aluminium and am going to attach a bi-pass regulator at that location. I am using a bi-pass regulator to help keep vapor lock down. install an inertia switch to cut off pump in event of accident.
