TR6 75 TR6 Fuel sending unit gasket

Hi,

Ready to install the fuel sending unit with gasket (both ordered from Moss) on to the fuel tank.

Any recommendations on whether to use any compound/dressing between the gasket and fuel tank. The fellow that cleaned and sealed the tank commented that the gasket looked to be made of both cork and rubber and suggested not using anything.

Thanks!

When using any cork or cork compound type gaskets, I generally smear a thin layer of grease on them. It keeps them from drying out and permits easy removal and reuse if necessary. Never had any problems doing this. YMMV.
