It's the middle of winter, but it's 74F outside under clear blue skies, so I woke up Merlin my '63 Tr4, a quick wash and we went out for a quick drive up and down the foothills near the house. The only issue was a slightly low idle speed, easily fixed by adjusting the mixture one turn up (I replaced the carb piston springs and hadn't had the change to adjust them /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif ) and then he blasted up the hills startling the cows from their naps. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Just wondering how people survive in snow country not able to take their LBCs out........ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Its 20F here right now. Although we can't drive them it gives us time to make all those improvements and repairs that during the summer we keep telling ourselves we are going to do.

There's a lot to be said of a "down season". Gives one time to do the rebuilds. I've multiple cars and no winter, so the repairs are now form crisis to crisis rather than on an "annual plan." Not the best way to manage a fleet of LBC's. But it's the way it is.

...I'll suffer thru. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

it's supposed to be 63 here next week and my shifting arm will be in a sling /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
